3D GameLab Teacher Camp:  August 1-20, fully online

3D GameLab, a quest-based online learning platform re-opens our closed beta on August 1st, as we kick off with a 3 week synchronous online summer camp for teachers and instructional designers, providing the tools and the training to turn your class into a living game, or just a very cool place to learn! After it's over, you'll have a teacher dashboard and can invite up to 60 students to play their way through the curriculum! You choose which quest strands and synchronous events you'd like to participate in (any or all), work at your own pace, fully facilitated by our Guild Officers:

  1. Minecraft in Schools: Lucas Gillispie, founder of Minecraft in Schools
  2. Mobile Learning In and Out of the Classroom: Liz Kolb, author of From Toy to Tool: Cellphones in the Classroom
  3. Making Machinima (animated video): Kae Novak, founder of Virtual Worlds Best Practice in Education
  4. Make Your Own App: Yu-Chang Hsu, professor at Boise State University, App Inventor Summit invited presenter at MIT
  5. Digital Games in the Classroom: Chris Haskell, co-founder of 3D GameLab
  6. 21st Century Tech Integration: Mark Suter, Computer Technology Teacher at Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools
  7. The Academy - Educational Quest Design Bootcamp

And did we mention Peggy Sheehy (WoW in Schools) will be hosting tavern meetings in World of Warcraft, and Sabine Reljic (ARVEL SIG)  is creating a new virtual world interaction space?!
