Final time zone schedules for the 2012 Learning 2.0 Conference are below. Click on your time zone to see the detailed schedule with links to enter each session. Conversation-enabled descriptions of each accepted session can be seen HERE.
Attending
To attend the conference you do not need any special training nor do you need to sign up in advance (although joining the Classroom 2.0 network will keep you informed through announcements about this and future events). The conference will be held using Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate). To check that your computer is ready for Blackboard Collaborate, please go HERE. "Step 1" will indicate if you have a version of Java that is compatible, and then "Step 2" lets you actually go into a test session.
You do not need a microphone to attend the sessions, but if you have one you can use it to ask questions during any Q&A time in a session. A headset/mic combination works best for your voice participation, although you can use a stand-alone mic to speak and earbuds for listening. If you need to listen through your computer speakers, just be aware that may be an echoing problem if you don't turn off your mic when you're not speaking.
Blackboard Collaborate has a number of great features, and short introductory video to the technology can be seen HERE. There is, additionally, web / print training material HERE (click on the "For Participants" link). The Collaborate user community is at http://www.WeCollaborate.com.
Conference Schedule
The links below are to Google calendar listings of the conference sessions in each of the world's time zones, specifically for August 20 - 24. You can use the link at the bottom of any of the individual calendar pages to bring the events into Google Calendar if you use it.
Important: each of the scheduled sessions will have a live Blackboard Collaborate session link added to it a day or two before the conference begins. On the day of the conference, you will click into the session in the calendar view, and then use the link provided to enter the session room.
Although we have tried to make all times accurate for August, 2012, and to take into account Daylight Savings Times (DST) where appropriate, please double check to make sure the time clock on your time zone page matches your current time.
