Hey Brett,

Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!

That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.

Do you mind passing my message along to your HS colleagues again?

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Brett. I was wondering if you have students or educator contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

I thought that also. Maybe it's just because we are getting farther into our program. Eric and I are taking Blazek's next I think it's 5040. Have you taken that? I heard it's pretty easy.

Things are going well. It's nice to see that Eric and I are not the only ones doing our class work at school. This is the only class that I am taking because it was the only one offered that I needed. I'm pretty limited in what I feel I can do with my class because of their typing ability and age. I have found that a lot of my students have facebook pages thought. The biggest thing that I use in my class are clickers by e Instruction. They are hand held instant respose computers. A set of 25 cost about $300 and no bigger then a cell phone. They are awesome. It has been great from me to check understanding and get that instant feedback. I am pretty sure they do demo's so if you don't already have these you should take a look. Our district bought a set for all math teacher but I have gotten all the Social Studies and Science teacher using them in my building.

Teaching in the digital age!

I have learned that I am and immigrant. There is a whole world out there that I have not explored, but so far in this class I am seeing it for the first time. There is so much that teachers can use from other teachers. Using this site, I have found new friends and they have responded to a lot of my questions. I have created a Facebook account, join delicious, made a wiki, and much more. Teachers must learn this new technology if we want to teacher our students the tools they need for the new… Continue
