Web 2.0 Programing: Wordle

The opportunities for web 2.0 software is unlimited. The program that I chose to experiment with was Wordle. This is a very fun program where you copy and paste text or type your own and the the program takes the words and creates art with the words. Character Poster

I found that using Excel instead of Word to create the character poster was much easier. With word, if everything isn't in a straight line, it's hard to manipulate the pictures, text boxes, word art, etc. With Excel, there's no worry about trying to change the formatting of the picture so that you can get it just how you want it. Kidspiration

With Kidspiration, there are many different ways it can be used in the classroom. With the assignment we had to do, it was very easy to make a web of our friends and family. And then when put in writing mode, it was very easy to write a description of the person we were talking about. The program is very user friendly and that's probably because it's made for children.
