About Me: I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Arizona State University and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. My past experience includes special education teacher, upper elementary classroom teacher, and flight instructor for upper elementary grades. I was selected by Boeing to attend Educators to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama in 2002 and was named Teacher Liaison for the state of Arizona by the National Space Foundation in 2005. In May of 2010 I was selected as a first prize winner in the PBS Teachers Innovation Awards.

I have been employed by Mesa Public Schools since 1987 and am currently working with the Science and Social Studies Resource Center as Coordinator for the award winning Space Integration Module/SIM. With a focus on curriculum design and professional development, I have been instrumental in the development of the SIM program and promoting space education in Mesa Schools.

In addition, I am the Education Coordinator for Teachers In Space, an elected Advocate with the Space Frontier Foundation and a member of NSTA.
