I teach U.S. History, World History, & Philosophy at a K-12 independent girls school in Shaker Heights OH. I also administer a concurrent enrollment college program for Kenyon College. I use technology extensively in my teaching and in the curriculum of my classes. I am also the local administrator of our school's Moodle installation.

Hi David
My name’s David and I’m a history teacher in Queensland, Australia. I use a lot of podcasting and online tools with my classes and am always looking for new ideas. We also use moodle at our school.
I host a group on diigo (it’s similar to delicious and very popular with teachers) for history teachers to share links, ideas and resources. It’s at http://groups.diigo.com/groups/history-teachers.
Please come along and join and share any sources or resources you use with the rest of us. See you there.
Regards,
David Hilton
Ancient & Modern History Teacher
Sheldon College, Capalaba.
With your interest in Ed Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you or your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. We'd really like to get more students involved from Ohio!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Hi David,
