- I've been teaching for 34 years in both elementary and middle school. For the last 13 years I've been a middle school reading specialist. I have a master's degree in reading as well as my National Board Certification in Reading. I am on the Superintendent's Teacher Advisory Council and the Battle of the Book coach. This year, in addition to implementing a growth mindset grant that I wrote for the entire school, I am also going to be pushing into classes for the first time. I'm excited about the new challenge.
