I like the fact that anybody can publish things on the internet for all to see. Sites like flickr and utube allow people to post and comment on some crazy and often amazing things....maybe more often crazy. I have used utube to learn how to play the banjo but finding exactly what I want is not easy. That we have to filter through what is good and bad or interesting to us can take a lot of time. Ok so here goes blog number 2....my second blog ever. I've been dreading this a bit but now that I'm typing I guess it's not so bad. I think I'm most afraid of the time factor that this technology requires. I'm not a huge fan of "surfing" on the computer and keeping up with blogs, twitters, etc. just feels like it will take a lot of time. Honestly, I'm a little scared....I feel like I need to write something inteligent (and what I write may not be) and someone else will read it. We will see how it goes. I'm not a big fan of facebook and blogging as it is used in popular culture today...I feel it's a waste of time (for me). But I realize that the PLN is an entirely different use of these sites. So I guess I need to turn that frown upside down and find some kind of picture for my profile.....
