About Me
Fifteen years experience as a classroom teacher and teacher-librarian. Led implementation of a teacher and school laptop program and have worked extensively with K-12 teachers in a large school district providing training and advice around Internet/technology use and research skills. Recognized the need for teachers to have a place where they can easily find "the best of the web" so we created LessonGateway. It's a free resource website where teachers can quickly locate the very best teaching tools, lesson plans, reference websites and student activities available online - all resources are suggested by teachers - many are rated and reviewed as well, I hope you find useful information here and perhaps take some time to contribute a resource or a write a review!

Some of the resources we're recommending this month have been around a number of years, but many of them have recently landed themselves on the web, championing the successes of African Americans throughout…

As we all know, the candidates in this year's election are using the Internet extensively to get their message out and to promote their respective fund raising campaigns. Many Civics and Social Studies teachers are discussing the election in class, and educators ought to consider using the web to teach students about the election. Of course we can go directly…

Wiz iQ - Video-Conference with your students!

Posted on September 8, 2008 at 5:00pm 0 Comments

Recently, I was out 'grazing' on the web when I came across Wiz iQ. For those of you not familiar with video conferencing, it was expected to take the world by storm sometime in the past year but has yet to truly catch on. Of course, the idea of communicating with others around the globe seemlessly remains an ideal and is certainly possible in small groups using Skype, MSN, iChat or something similar. However, none of these applications, freely and readily… Continue

Hi Greg,

I saw your post on Wiziq. I also recommend you take a look at authorstream's web based power point presentation platform. It has podcast and you tube features that are quite unique.
