- In the past two years I have been a Kindergarten Aide Substitute and a Third Grade substitute for a private parochial school. Now I am a new volunteer teacher for gifted and talented third grade math. Before this year (more specifically this semester), I had never written a lesson plan, let alone led a class into the adventures of math.
The school I work at, Todd Academy, Inc., is geared specifically to gifted and talented, high-ability students. I began as their Front Desk Administrator, a position I still hold, and navigated my way into the classroom as an volunteer instructor.
