I am currently a Fine Arts and Multiple Literacies facilitator in an elementary school. I am seriously attempting to incorporate the creative use of various technological tools and ideas...but I am still quite a novice!

Hi Jeanette -- welcome to the Mashup. I'm happy to see that you successfully negotiated all the steps. I was in Calgary on the university campus of last year for the 6th annual E-Learning Conference. I didn't have much time in the city, but liked what I saw as I was driven round in cabs.

Hi Jeannette

I am sure that we are all novices at some thing. Might I suggest that you tune into the Live conversations this Saturday. There is a section for newbie questions and you can ask your questions there.

Hi Jeanette -- I'd like to invite you to join a Classroom 2.0 group called Canadians Mashup. I'm trying to build a network of Canadian educators and bloggers. No discussions yet. I'm just starting out by trying to find where everyone lives and what they teach. If you're interested, please add me as a colleague as well.

If you add yourself to the map, please include a name or a photo of some sort. There seem to be a lot of unidentified people from unidentified places and the map is getting stuck on for some reason. The problem is that I can't tell from the members’ list which anonymous hits are real people and which were just false starts. The company does not differentiate members unless there is a picture or a name. Location only is not enough to help me know which entries are not real ones. THANKS!!!!

I'm only about 16 months ahead of you! If you are looking for interesting tools, these might be 2 good places to start:
a) Diane Krause has a list of Art tools in Diigo.
b) Paul Hamilton has a list as well.
