About Me
As a former educator, I've taught English in a variety of settings, including a public elementary school in Costa Rica, adult immigrants in Harlem, and young adults at the college level. I'm fluent in Spanish, and have lived in Spain, Costa Rica, and El Salvador. My current position takes me everywhere from Milwaukee to Los Angeles to work with teachers, school administrators, and community-based programs. Most of the work I do involves strenghtening supports for English Language Learning and Learners. I believe acquiring a second language is a powerful tool in understanding other cultures and perspectives, and am committed to ensuring that learners of English in the United States are successful in school and in life.
