- I am a 2nd grade teacher at Marysville Elementary. I will be starting my sixth year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten and 2nd grade. I have been married to my husband, Curtis, for five years. We have two beautiful girls, Keelyn (4) and Kambrie (2). I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, exercising, slow pitch softball, the Kansas State Wildcats, the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and watching sports on TV.

Teaching in the Digital Age

After reading the article on digital native or digital immigrant, I am definitely more digital native. I enjoy technology and use it as much as I can in my classroom. I am more than willing to learn about new technology and play around with it. There are many teachers in my school that are digital immigrants and are constantly asking me for help. They are scared of new technology and scared to try it out for themselves.
