About Me: My family is my focus. My husband and I chose to make our home in Utah after he retired from active duty service at Hill Air Force Base. We love to play, laugh, learn and have fun. Now that both of my children are grown and one is married I get to have even more fun! I play with my grandson! The kids grew up watching me bungee jump, skydive and rappel. Little wonder they love to snorkel, kickbox, weight train, and play video games. My family is active, energetic and full of passion for all kinds of good things. They are amazing! I also enjoy reading, music, dance, crafts, and learning new things.

The majority of my professional work has been in service to those who are underserved or underrepresented. I am an advocate for positive change. I am fiercely client and student centered. I spent three years working in medical social work and four years serving as a state vocational rehabilitation counselor specializing in services to Native American clients. I have also worked extensively with children, people with AIDS, families in crisis as well as survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Education is the most potent tool I have been able to find to empower clients. Education is the only non-violent way I know to escape multi-generational cycles of poverty and violence. Online education gives access to all and opens doors once closed to the clients and students I serve.
