Join some of the groups and watch the discussions as there are lots of interesting web2.0 tools to be used. Have you started blogging for yourself. Thanks so much Anne. I like it that you're relatively nearby - makes the connection between virtual communication and real people seem a bit less remote. i do feel like a foreigner in the web 2.0 world at the moment. so much unique jargon and so much to learn.

Hello All,
I am a teacher of middle school gifted students in the USA. I am interested in ideas for helping my students connect to others throughout the world as our focus is on cultures and communities from prehistory through @1500 CE.
I have also had experience developing and teaching in a school within a school for disconnected (not necessarily alternative school type of students) students in grades 9-12.
Finally, I am also a reading specialist and certified secondary Language Arts teacher.
I have been dabbling in developing a wiki and just recently joined classroom2.0 (even tried blogging...).
