Wow! Grace - that sounds great with the younglings using Web2.0 stuff. Our district mostly blocks this stuff, well atleast until they update their policies from the 90s. Ha!

Do tell - what kind of stuff are you doing?

Hello all....im a ning.noob

Researching the use of SNs in education. Interesting stuff so far, learning the ins and outs of this platform.

What do you all find are some *major* differences between this platform and say, the other SNs like Facebook and MySpace?

It can take some time to really get to know all the opportunities available on this or other Nings. I find the main difference is that your personal page is just one small piece of the puzzle. The forum discussions and resources provide a common place for comments, questions, and conversations. I find it easier to find to what I'm looking for (tags) and more focused as well.

I'm Brandy. I'm a media developer in our faculty development office for a community college. I've been hanging out on Classroom 2.0 for a couple months and really enjoy the discussion, resources and webcasts offered.

This is Alan from the Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu, Hawai'i. I am an Instructional Technology Specialist for the elementary campuses. We recently hosted an EdTech Conference for Hawai'i teachers. Our keynote speakers were Will Richardson, David Warlick, and Mark Standley. Glad to be here in Classroom 2.0!

My name is Myles Webb and Im a Intermediate School Teacher (Y7/8) from Tamaki Intermediate, Auckland, New Zealand. The kids that I teach are predominatly Pacific Island and Maori students so getting their world view expanded is huge. Involving our class in web activities this year has really lit a spark for some of them... Our class blog is mainly focussing on short sharp videos because they're very much of the 'tube' generation... but motivating the students to share their cultures with others around the world has been such a huge positive for the students. Im looking for different classrooms to buddy up and swap work, and if anyones interested they can log onto tamakitoday.blogspot.com and have a look at what were doing... I think sites like this are so important for sharing information. swapping ideas and the like... theres so much here... its great!

My name is Lucinda. I teach middle school English and Language Arts 1 to sixth graders at a private school in Gainesville, Florida. I am currently taking a graduate class at the University of Florida and have learned many things about Web 2.0 that I didn't even know existed. I am what you would call a "digital immigrant," but I am an open-minded one who is willing to learn. I came across this network while searching for information for my graduate class, and I am amazed and a little bit overwhelmed by the amount of content here. I am very interested in learning all I can about implementing Web 2.0 in my classes. This is a great resource!
