Moodle was covered on Web Worker Daily today and I thought I would share it:

>>>Moodle has a large and diverse user community with over half a million registered users on this site alone, speaking over 75 languages in 193 countries (we have more statistics here). The best place to start is Using Moodle, which is where the main international discussions are held in English, but we have a variety of groups discussing other topics and in other languages.

Or what is your best alternative (or the best alternative) for what Moodle does?

Did you want to know what we do with Moodle? or what other programs do what Moodle does? We've used Moodle with elementary students for online book discussions, I put the questions in a forum and the kids answer the questions and comment on other kids' answers. I've also used Blackboard (same as Moodle) for online courses.
