I am new to Classroom 2.0. I just joined yesterday, and discovered quite by chance through "delicious" tags. I teach in a rural area (the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where in parts of our county we have horses and buggies (Mennonites) clip clopping on down the road. I began working collaboratively so that my students would see beyond our classroom walls. I have collaborated through the AT&T Network (Learning Circles), through NASA Quest Projects, and now through iEarn. We are currently involved in the Teddy Bear Project and are working with a school in Japan.

I am interested and excited about thyour project.

Thanks Marilyn...your experiences will help us all! Connecting your rural students to students throughout the world is a perfect example of the Flat Classroom.

Please contact your circle of colleagues and have them join flatclassroom.ning.com

Hi, Mark!

You might want to look at Lucy Gray's Global Education Collaborative Ning network, which has 900 or so members and which might be exactly what you're looking for.

Please tell me how I can join the flat classroom NING.
Thanks

"If the world is flat...so should be your classroom." I appreciate your idea! Great. There should be no barrier in education world. Students also need to know the world, the whole world.
When I try to join in, the system requires an invitation. How to join in Flatclassroom successfully? Thanks.
