I'm wondering how teachers use technology in their classrooms. What kind of activities do you do with students? What kind of limitations do you face when trying to do these activities?

I've been using podcasts and blogs in the classroom for a while now, especially since this makes for lower cost technology than using video.

The biggest limitation I've faced with using computers in the classroom, is not having enough. Computers, that is. Lots of students. Few computers. It makes using them for more than group work researching tough. Computer labs are great, but usually booked. I look forward to the day when a 1:1 classroom is the norm in all communities regardless of socioeconomic status.

I look forward to trying blogs out with a class when I get the opportunity.
I most definitely use computers. As a Media Specialist, I teach information and research skills using 8 computers. I've co-taught using wikis for class research projects. I do have access to a computer lab and design engaging learning projects like digital storytelling and book review blogging. I also lead a computer club as a lunch-time extra-curricular activity during the winter months. Remember that your School Librarian can be a great technology partner!
