Do you want to talk about 2.0, interactive whiteboards, iPods, etc.? I have ideas on all of those if you would like to narrow the topic down a little bit.

I believe that we (Special Ed teachers) can become pioneers in using technology in the classroom. We can venture out and try new things because general ed teachers might feel trapped in "teaching the textbook." We can have a "bag of tricks" that includes technology and become experts in tech integration.

Does anyone use iPods in the classroom? I have tried a couple of times this past year and am looking to step it up a notch next year.
Anything goes... please post any strategies that you use in your "bag of tricks" to improve the reading fluency of students.

We don't have IPODs in the classroom, but we did purchase digital voice recorders to use for next year. We're hoping to use them for podcasting but I was also hoping to use them for the students to record themselves reading short pieces. We have a network at school and I was going to save the dated files on the network to track the student's fluency throughout the year. I want the students to have access to their voice files to assess their reading and to comment on their progress.
