I'm the founder of The Works, a hands-on museum of engineering for kids. Located in the Twin Cities area, Minnesota, we welcome over 30,000 kids every year with hands-on exhibits and real, messy, design engineering projects. Minnesota is adding engineering standards, starting in Kindergarten. In response to this, last week we held Minnesota's first E4 Conference: Excellence in Elementary Engineering Education. In the conference evaluations, it was suggested that we start a social network for conference participants, or, more generally, for people interested in elementary engineering education. I looked around, found this admirable social network, and am very interested in participating/learning more.

I'm Karen in Wheeler, a tiny town in the Texas panhandle. I am the Secondary Technology Assistant at our school. All of our 7-12 graders received MacBooks this year. I found this site through Apple Learning Interchange and look forward to LEARNING here!
I'm a high school math and computer science teacher in NYC. Interested in using technology to improve teaching (obviously) and teacher collaboration. I'm glad to see this site appears to have a critical mass -- there are so many out there that just dwindle and die.
