I am a special education student at Indiana University. I am currently enrolled in an education course that is called Using Computers in Education. I believe this course has helped me a lot in learning about and how to use technology within my future classroom. I have done lots of assignments and have used many different technology tools. I was wondering if anyone else has used some tools in thier classroom that were interesting and effective for the younger grades.

What are some effective technology tools that you have used in your classrooms?

The tools that I found the most effective especially for special education elementary students are a document camera with LCD projector - even recording the lessons to share with parents, text-to speech for students to self-edit their writing assignments, and electronic books sites that can record and play back so that students can hear themselves read.
Hi,
My name is Olga. I'm from Russia and I'm a teacher trainer in in-service institute. I work with English language teachers. On the 1st of December we are holding a Skype conference for our teachers on the problems of the use of ICT and Project work in English classes. Would you like to join us? I guess you'll get some answers to your questions.

Skype me in advance please if you are interested.
My skype name is olgabezz

Best wishes,

Sue, my the greatest thanks to you! The help is really useful, urent and just ot the point. Thak you very much!
I really enjoy using Wordle.net in my classroom. (Right now I have 6th graders.) Your kids can take anything they write and turn it into a really nice visual of what they wrote. If you want to see an example of a Wordle of President Obama's speech to students, as well as some of the other things I do in my class, check out my blog at: http://www.ljhstechtalk.blogspot.com/

Good luck!
