My 5th grade class is in the middle of a unit on Canada; as part of this unit they have to become a "Travel Agency" in order to convince other classrooms to take a vacation in the provinces and territories they are representing. I’m looking for Canadian classrooms to help my students get a better perspective of “What it means to be a Canadian living in (Province/Territory)? A highlight would be to Skype with a classroom from every territory and province in Canada! Thanks for your help.

This sounds interesting. I have a 4-5 class in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. We are making connections too. Contact me if you like:

I am also exploring Minichat as a vehicle for students to conferencing. My students have division email addresses as well.
Thanks for the response Alan!!!!!! I will be getting in touch with you. I belive there is an hour time difference between but what time does school end for you?
6:42 AM, coffee at hand. The time zone thing is tripping me up quite a bit too. I will be in my classroom at 8:00 AM this morning, kids show up at 8:45. I am free in the classroom until 10:30 today (yay!) and then on the run until 3:30. After school I run a tech club until 5:00 PM. Pre-Christmas activities make this something of a slack day. I don't think I will get more than an hour of curriculum based learning today.
I just sent you a message on Skype.
Still hoping to connect with more Canadian classrooms.
