Hello, I am Matthew Kump. I am a first year graduate student (Curriculum & Instruction) and am also acquiring my secondary licensure. I am excited an nervous changing gears from Business & Marketing to Education. Over these past few years I have this new found love for learning and sharing and I want to share it. I want to bridge my technical knowledge with my future classroom. I still have a year or two, but it is something that really makes me excited that I could make a difference in someone's life like a few teachers I had in my childhood made a difference in mine.
Hi... I am an Adult Educator in WV and am trying to figure out ways to incorporate all forms of technology into my teaching. Most of what we do in our learning center is one-on-one so it is difficult to do group projects. I am working on a time line wiki, however, which I hope will be successful. It doesn't require a lot of teamwork.
I will be looking for creative ideas from all of you!

Yikes! I could not find out how to start a new forum so I thought I would post my question here.
I am looking for a news article I found a while back about reforming schools. I believe it was on msnbc.com, but am not 100% sure. It was about a principal who turned around a failing school near the Mexican border in either Texas or Arizona. He did it through reward for his students.
Did anybody else remember seeing this article? If so, could you send a link?
We need to turn around our failing school and are looking for ways to motivate students.
can't answer your question, but to start a new forum topic, click the "forum" tab at the top, then there is a red link on the right-hand top side called "+ Add Discussion" which I think would allow you to start a new topic
