Activity 4--great info if you can find it

I see huge benefit from being in touch with other educators, particularly because it is such a supportive community. As a relatively new teacher, I’m glad to see what others have done, the mistakes they’ve made, and what
cool ideas they have.

The challenge for me so far has been the overload of information, whether through different social networking sites, or from other professional development. Also, as I try to wend my way around this particular
site, I am reminded that the learning curve can be pretty steep, and it can
become an actual barrier to entry (I would have given up on this site if it
weren’t an assignment!! Good thing it was an assignment, because I think there
are some great things here).

I struggled with finding my way around as well. Click on groups, find our group and try posting there.
I've spent so many hours on this, I am getting burned out.

Find an interest group or two that sparks your interest and stay there for a while. I am not a techie, but love technology because my students thrive on it so I do my best to keep finding activities and interests that I can link to the instruction. So far, it has been quite successful.

This was definitely challenging. I think it was because it was set up differently than other sites such as Facebook. There is so much great information to read, I wish I had more time.
