WMV is one of the most frequently used video formats. It is compatible to many video sharing sites, portable devices like blackberry. Let’s see, if we can convert PowerPoint to WMV video, we can also share our PowerPoint presentation widely. I know there are many free PowerPoint to WMV converters, such as Wondershare PPT2Video Free, and EM PowerPoint to video free.

In my experience, some online players aren't compatible with WMV because it's a Windows-only format. AVI and FLV files are much more universal.

Rather than creating a PowerPoint, would it be easier to create a Prezi at Prezi.com? You can then get embed code for your Prezi presentation to display it on any Web site.

If you need to create a video of a PowerPoint or Prezi presentation for a video-sharing site, though, you might also try using a screencasting tool, like Jing or ScreenJelly, which allow you to narrate your presentation. (More on screencasting here.)
Powerpoint 2010 can output directly to WMV natively. It is a glorious thing to see.
Yes, I also expect to try it. Let's check what is the quality of its output like. O(∩_∩)O
That is also a good suggestion. ^_^, thanks!
I've got to agree with Katy, you'll be alienating some of the students you have because they won't all be running a windows system at home. Prezi is accessible from any computer with a web browser..

Some of my students compared prezi and powerpoint check out the comparison here..
