If I could investigate one webtool only, it would have to be Lingt!
This free, web-based programme, is designed specifically to satisfy the Languages Teacher’s on-going need to gather spoken samples. It allows you to set spoken assignments, evaluate them, give feedback with no download, no student subscriptions, no cumbersome programme or links. Once on it, access easy to follow set up instructions, and many assignments that you can use straight away. Here is one sure way to collate spoken evidence for portfolios. What's more, the young creators of Lingt are really keen to work with teachers, and they wish to hear from us and our needs!
I've provided a short intro to
Lingt, how it works and what specialists think of it

Potentially this great tool would be really useful to Teachers of Languages in NZ in particular, since our assessment system is skill based, with great emphasis on communication, and is internally assessed throughout the school year. I would welcome feedback from any user, on how you use Lingt in your classroom, what for, if it is successful etc. And as I mentioned above, this feedback could be passed on to Justin and Chris, the Lingt co-founders, since they are keen to iron out hiccups but also to tailor Lingt to teachers needs.
