Hi everyone.
I am Clare Cheetham, from Brighton UK. I teach English and Creative arts in a Special School here - for students with complex needs. In addition I work for the local authority producing and promoting resources for the Virtual Learning Environment that all the schools are signed up to - but don't necessarily use...
I'm on a steep learning curve here. It's really exciting finding such amazing new technology available to use, but frustrating when it won't do what I want it to. I want to learn more and be able to apply it to the things I do. I'm also very keen to say hello to lots of new people! So Hi again and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi! Im Michelle and I'm an undergrad at the University of Florida. I'm currently a Junior, a psych major with a minor in education. I'm not quite sure what I want to do when I graduate but I really want to get into education somehow. I'm thinking about Teach for America when I first graduate however I'm still searching. I am currently taking a class on Integrating Technology into the Classroom which is how I first heard about this site. I wanted to join because I wanted to see what technology classes are using all over the country and the world as well as start networking with educators.
I encourage you and others preparing for careers to consider ways you can use technology to connect disadvantaged youth with opportunities for learning and mentoring via non-school community based programs and via the Internet. I also encourage you to take marketing, communications and leadership classes. With these skills you can be a network builder that connects more people and resources to kids, and that connects kids to extra leaning and to people who can help them with jobs and careers. Most of all, if you are in a classroom, you can teach your students to take this same leadership role.

Hello All!
My name is Penny Christensen. I am an eLearning Specialist for Hall County Schools, located in Gainesville, Georgia. My main purpose for being here is to keep abreast of the innovative ideas and pressing issues in classrooms.
I am especially interested in hybrid or blended learning in K-12 environments. I am interested in hearing feedback from school users of ANGEL and/or BrainHoney Learning Management Systems. Any schools or districts that are starting this journey or are well int the trip down this road will be ones I am interested in hearing from about their expereinces.
I hope I can also contribute to the community!
