I'm looking to set up a cross-cultural exchange between a 4th or 5th grade class at my school and a class in a foreign country (English speaking, though). My 4th graders study from Explorers through Civil War Reconstruction. My 5th graders study from Civil War Reconstruction to present. I was thinking of a discussion between my class and a class in England about the Rev. War might be interesting, but I'm open to anything. It could be a book discussion in response to a mutually read class book, but doesn't necessarily have to be. Anybody game or does anyone know where I might find someone who might be interested?

Would you be interested in chatting to some students in New Zealand? I have a lot of kids who would be very excited to do this using Skype.
Let me know.

Jonathan,

Any luck finding a class? I teach technology to students in Grades 3-6, ages 8-12, in Waupun, Wisconsin, USA. Our school year is early September to the second week of June. I might also offer a summer (June/July) school Skype class next year. Here's my web page: http://www.waupun.k12.wi.us/faculty/jkowalski/?from_faculty_listing... .

Hi there! I am looking to start a Skype pen pal group with classes in other countries or around the US. We are a 5th grade science and social studies class in Cookeville, TN. Please let me know if you might be interested!

Dear Betsy, your suggestion is really interesting. Could you give me more information concerning your project.
