Hi all,

I'm an Ultranet Coach in Victoria, Aust.  I'm trying to find out about other online knowledge management frameworks/learning management systems that exist around the world - ones that allow collaboration, creation and community for teachers, students and parents in an online environment.  I know that the Ultranet is fairly unique in the way that it is being developed (and the size of the system that it is going to cater for), but am also aware that there are similar systems developed in Singapore and I think Scotland/Wales.  I'm having trouble though in actually finding the names of these systems to then explore and understand them better.  I'd like to investigate these other systems to maybe learn from the processes used in implementing these within schools (and learner's environments).  Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Liz

A new learning management system coming out soon is http://smartlyedu.com.
Hi Liz - I have been bookmarking some of these along with research/opinion about learning management systems at: http://www.delicious.com/pru_mitchell/lms

The Scottish national system is called Glow. Moodle is also used in many places.
New Zealand has an active discussion group which you can join: MLE Reference Group

All the best with your search
Hi Pru - thanks for this. Glow is the one I was thinking of and there is something similar to this in Singapore. This will set me on the right track :)
