What is your opinion on Winter as the protagonist and how does her setting, influences and background help you understand her? In answering this question, discuss how her father's status influenced her outlook on life as well. Lastly, discuss the reason that Winter found the idea of moving from the surroundings she's known her whole life repulsive and unnecessary.
How does all of this tie into the way that the plot unfolds from chapters 1-10?
