Teaching K-3 Children about other Cultures

Hello, I am a preservice teaching working on an eProject about teaching Black History to K-3 students. I live in Maine where there is a serious handicap on both my cultural experiences and those of the students here in Maine. Is there any advice anyone can offer on the most effective way to introduce diversity to K-3 students and any way to qualify me more in be able to talk about something that I actually have very little experience with? I would appreciate the help!

I recomment you visit Teaching Tolerance They have lots of free resources to teach about diversity at all different grade levels.
