When we think social, we immediately go to the mindset of communicating with someone in a verbal form. But, do we ever stop to think about how we communicate and what it does to and for those around us? As powerful people, the leaders of our countries and our homes and our neighborhoods create environments that are either condusive for a successful future or a hindrance and stunts the growth of the possibly successful, in our environments. For instance, the individual that wants to be more, but resides in the slummed city or the projects is already pegged to be nothing. I find myself feeling that there is a responsiblity that I have as not only an educator, but also a product of the same environment, to teach them and guide them to step outside of the box. I find myself wishing that I had more power to do more aand create a more successful future with the snap of my fingers. Unfortunately, my power simply stops with encouragement and a little knowledge. I can only be the teacher. What does power have to do with the social responsibility of our society and the major figures that it entails?
Give me your opinion and make sure that you give at least two other responses.

Right Alyssia, thats the same thing I'm saying. Maybe we just need someone strong enough to be different in a positive way.
So how do you identfiy this person? You dont have any thoughts or ideas of your own?
i dont understand can you give me a better understanding
That question was in response to LaBrea. She mentioned having someone strong enough to be different but my question is what does this person that is strong enough look like. What makes them strong?
i agree with Alyssia because , the environment you live in can change the way you act. Such as the neighborhood you live in can change your whole outlook on life.
Having power can indulge a community to strive for better.(I thought you said social responsibility, Social- is interaction within people). With power no one can be inquisitive or negative about your thoughts, thats just their opinion. Social responsibility ties to power because one person can make a difference negative or positive. If the society relies on one person, that society has to "parade on the upgrade and strive for more" or "fall on the missed points and aim again". entails can be a decision based on the power that the person has, if they want to fix it and if they don't. Not only can the power be to a person it can be held by many people, probably everybody. If everybody had their own power we would have to put it together to make a succesful society or a despicable society. Power decomposes our society and social responsibility.
I must agree with you on the fact that "power decomposes our society", but the issue that becomes reality is that having power is not our social responsibility; it is what we do with that power that entails our social responsibility. So are you saying that just because someone has a powerful position, they are responsible for those in their society? I need to understand in simple people terms because you said the same thing twelve times and stopped making sense after the second sentence.
No i am saying that people with power can see past their barriersand help society. I disagree, Power ties to society and society ties to social responsibility by benefiting from Power. So can you restate that opinion for me please Ms.moore
lol. I cannot argue with that. I see you are very well holding your own but answer something for me. You have a great point in creating the chain, but exactly how does the society benefit from someone having power. What is the responsibility of those in power?
I realy dont understand the question , but from my understanding but as a student i feel that thwe invironment you live in does change you outview on life , because in the invironment i grew up in you had to go through alot of triles and tribulations. but in the end its not were you come from its werwe you are going , and the place that i am going is a good one .
right, I agree with you bri, because we growing up in a TOTALLY sometimes negative environment, but we just got to make the best of it. Keep associating yourself with the right crowd :)*
the environment is only what you make of it. i see my environment as positive because that is what keep me motivated to strive further and further.
