Web 2.0 and mathematics for high school students

Hello!

I'm trying to introduce Web 2.0 into Math classes (teenagers from 12 to 16 years old), and I would like to know if somebody has had experience with it.

I've thought about the possibilities del.icio.us and diggo would give me when doing group work and research, and also the power of the forums when problem solving.

But I would like to know if somebody has had experience with Social Web in math classes, and if s/he could share that :).

I have used Wikispaces for my Maths classes, also Storybird - writing 'stories' as part of their maths revision!

Wallwisher too. All my own favourites are here.

The limitation is that Maths (Math!) is a pain to write online! I know about LaTex but I tend to resort to online whiteboards if I want a quick scribble!

For bookmarking my personal favourite is Diigo - you can set up an educator account - so no age issues and the research tools are good.

I use Moodle at school and have used the forums to answer queries, particularly when students are on study leave.

I'm doing a list and once I have finished I will share the whole project/ideas. So far I have:

Spreadsheet (Google Docs) for analyzing real data (stock market) and study statistics concepts with it.
Forums for problem solving. Someone creates a problem and the rest of the group has to answer to that problem.
Google maps: For distance problems and geometry (areas, perimeters...).
