Hello fellow teachers,
I just joined and am still a bit curious as to what exactly "Web 2.0" is all about, but I'm anxious to find out. I'm an English and theatre teacher anxious to find ways in which technology can make learning more authentic and meaningful for students and ways in which it can make me a more efficient and effective teacher.
Looking forward to seeing all this site has to offer,
Miranda
Hello Everyone!
My name is Sandy. I teach 8th grade Math and language arts in Chicago, Illinois. I'm really hoping to learn about Ning and incorporate it into my math and reading classes this coming September. I really want to get familiar with many of the ways to use tech. in my classroom. This will be my summer project this year. I like Ning because I invite who is there but I wonder if I can also make it private so some things come just to me and everyone on the site is not able to see it? Any help from everyone will be greatly appreciated as I take on this adventure!
My name is Carolyn Pepe and I live in Irvine, CA. I just received my Master's Degree in Education. During my Master's program we spent a lot of time (three semesters) learning how to integrate technology into the curriculum. I would often post during my Master's program that using technology scares me, but I was willing to learn more. I joined this and other technology websites to learn more about meaningful ways to integrating technology successfully into the classroom.
I am currently looking for a full time position in order to share all of the wonderful things I have learned throughout my continued education.
Howdy! I'm an educational media designer and a co-founder of a small startup in San Francisco called Launchpad Toys (http://launchpadtoys.com). We're building Constructionist software tools that enable kids to create digital media through play. Our first product, Toontastic, is a storytelling and animation tool for the iPad and we've been working with a number of schools here in the Bay Area this spring with great success. If you're interested in giving Toontastic a spin or perhaps piloting it in your classroom, please let me know - I'd love to chat!
Hi, Andy!
This sounds great! We are going to have some elementary campuses working with Ipads this school year. I would love to chat with you more!

Here is a blog/podcast that I created last year for my staff: http://mymotivationalminute.blogspot.com/ I was a little inconsistent and I am planning on revamping it a little next school year. I would love to hear your feedback!
