As I interview teachers for current special education teaching positions,  I have been surprised at the weak responses given regarding the integration of technology into current teaching practices. Is this not an area of focus during the interview process?  Could school leaders or teachers share questions specifically asked during the interview process?

I try to focus my questions regarding how technology can be used to differentiate instruction. I follow the universal design for learning framework. How can technology be used for multiple forms of representation of information, assessment of student learning, and engagement.
Checked out the CAST website. Very, very impressive.

Here are a couple of questions given during the interview process in our district:

1. How do you use specific technologies like SMART Board or Kurzweil technology in the planning of lessons?

2. Can you describe a math lesson you have given in which the students were required to use a classroom computer and the SMART Board.
