Assistive Tech tools to help with orginization??

In my assisted technology class I am involved in completeing a case study of a young boy who has issues with orginization and task management. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of assitive technologies that might be used?

Using a tool such as Board Maker and making a task strip with the pictures would provide visual cues for a student. If the pictures were laminated the student could check off each task when he or she is done to provide validation for the completion of the task.
