Has anybody started using SKRBL? It's an online app/whiteboard which is free but in beta format. I have a feeling it could replace some of the features of google apps which we use here to collaborate w/ each other.

I love it, but I haven't used it much. I tested it out a couple times with students in my CALL course last summer.

The real benefit for me was the ability to draw, which Google Docs doesn't offer. I have a tablet PC and drawing on it is as easy as drawing on paper. I love using whiteboards to markup papers, pictures, and other content, as well as drawing various mindmaps, diagrams, and so forth. Unfortunately, not many students have tablets, thus this capability really can't be used to its fullest potential.

Honestly, however, I'm not sure how I would use it with my EFL students. I suppose if I had them collaborating online (which I should do now that I think about it) it might come in handy. However, much of what they would do is text-based, so I don't think that SKRBL is better for this purpose.

I'd love to hear ideas on usage.
