I need to know how do this because a picture is worth a thousand words.  Someone tell me please.

You can also annotate the screenshot using the tool.

On a Mac you will hit shift command 4 and then drag the icon around the area you want to take a shot of. The image will appear on your desktop.

I own a PC, so on this kind of computer, there is a program called the snipping tool.  When you open this program, the screen will lighten in color, and this means that you are now able to crop the screen to take whatever picture you want.  You then save the picture as a JPEG. 

It's a nice tool.

For PC, hit Print Screen, then paste into pain, save as JPEG.   

Yep the print screen button's been around for a long time.

With a Mac all you need to do is press Shift, Apple, and 4 all at once, drag the box over what you want to cut, and it will be saved to your desktop as a shortcut.
