I must confess I'm fairly new to teaching - mainly have done it at a volunteer level. Now I'm facing the challenge to teach sceptical adults, but I'm definitely up for it! :)
I'm looking forward to learn from you, and glad to be part of this community.

Howdy. I am a fourth grade teacher in Commerce City Colorado. I am integrating lots of technology into my classroom this year. I am looking to do much more collaboration, through Skype, collaborative blogging, wikis? My students get so excited with the ease that they can reach people in other parts of the world!
Hi all! My name is Tim McKean. I just heard about this site on an Ed Tech Talk episode and was eager to join in. I teach middle school technology in Hesperia, CA and teach part time in the Education Technology program at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. Looking forward to hearing from you and working with you in education technology.
I'm Danny Nicholson. Formerly a Science teacher, now a freelance ICT trainer. I'm based in the South East of England.
I specialise in Interactive Whiteboards (and associated gadgets) but i am becoming increasingly interested in tech such as blogging, wikis, Virtual Learning Platforms and Twitter.
I'm still at the enthusiastic learner stage at some of these, but willing to find out more.
Hi everyone. I'm Jeff O'Hara I am the webmaster for a k-12 school district and married to a high school science teacher.
I have also recently started a company called Edmodo.com and we are working on building free web 2.0 tools for schools. I also hate the term web 2.0 :)
Aloha. My name is Sanford Low, but you all can call me Sandy. I am a Senior Distance Education Specialist at Hawaii Pacific University, and am in the process of developing a communications course about online communications.
Hi everyone. My name is Louis. I teach Social Studies here is Quakertown PA. I have been really interested in collaborating with teachers from all over. I would love to have my students and students from around the country/world working together on projects, sharing ideas and teaching each other.
In a couple of months we will be starting an inquiry into Ecuador with Ecuadorian students using moodle. Anyone care to join or know more?
Hello, all! I'm Jo Schiffbauer and I teach Instructional Technology for preservice teachers. I'm always looking for better ways to teach my students and for them to teach their students when they have their own classrooms. I use eCompanion (a content management system) and I'm incorporating the use of wikis more each semester. I write a tech tips blog for teachers (http://teaching21c.blogspot.com/) called Learning and Teaching in the 21st Century. I would like my students to collaborate with other preservice teachers somewhere on a project. I don't know what or where yet! Any ideas?
As a high school librarian in the California foothills and I have been playing around with web 2.0 applications for about 1 1/2 years. I have done two wikispaces activities with my classes with mixed results. I want to improve my skills and understanding so I can bring more teachers into the fold of web 2.0.
This semester I'm also using another PBwiki site for a class wiki. So far we have some pages devoted to groups (based on certification they'll have as teachers)... one page that lists by initials who is in each group and then an additional page for each group to use. We used those pages this week for some work in class, but my goal is that they use these pages for asynchronous work, also.
One set of pages is for evaluation of our class activities. Another set of pages was designed to help teach particular topics.
When this semester ends, I'll be able to better compare Wikispaces and PBwiki.
Hi. My name is Art Titzel and I'm an 8th grade American Cultures teacher at Hershey Middle School. I'm just beginning to explore using web 2.0 in my classroom. I've signed on here to learn more about how I can use technology in my teaching to engage students and improve their learning opportunities.
