Videos of the presentations from Games For Change 2011 have been posted at http://vimeo.com/channels/g4c2011. They've been up for awhile now but I just finally got around to watching one.
I recommend checking out the one from Gabe Newell of Valve. It is very interesting to hear the game developers perspective on things. It is intensely obvious that he is not a trained teacher which is really quite sad. It makes me realize how much groupthink there is in our profession that it is so easy to pick out an "outsider" just by his words.
I'd say, at the very least, watch the opening segment with the discussion of Portal 2. It is easily the best game (not just educational games mind you) released this year and is built entirely around playing with science. His explanation of why the game works is quite enlightening.
