So my question to all of you who are already using iPads, what sites would you particularly recommend to a coach who must meet the needs of every discipline on the campus? I have found a few such as SHOWME, Dragon speak, MathCube--to name a few, but with each teacher comes a different request. I would therefore love to put together a list of apps which come with recommendations from professionals such as yourselves. The tool is quite innovative, but without support for teachers, it will just be another trinket that will gather dust.

Thanks.

I'm serving with the Peace Corps as an English Teacher in Bulgaria. Peace Corps has a Correspondence Match Program in which they pair a Volunteer with an educator in the United States so that students can learn about other cultures through the first-hand experience of the Volunteer (and vice versa). It's a great opportunity for students on both sides to learn and collaborate with one another, and ask any questions they may have. This can be done via letters, videos, podcasts, blogs, and so forth, so the correspondence medium is really flexible and allows for a lot of creativity. It's free and is an excellent way to share our culture with others.

Would anyone be interested in being matched with me? If so, or if you have any questions or concerns, please email me (danielle.vaughn7@gmail.com) asap with your interest and I will instruct you on how to enroll in the program.

Many thanks!

I'd like to let other teachers know about a web 2.0, free site I created so teachers can share lesson recipes. Teaching Recipes.

It is meant for EFL / ESL / ESOL teachers but really suitable for all teachers to find and share ideas. Just tag appropriately and share your most important resource - your delicious creativity!

Comments, suggestions are welcome. I'd like to know what you think about the site/idea.
Hello! I'm interested in starting a discussion with other educators who have participated in online learning where there was a significant intercultural dimension (e.g., a teacher ed class with teachers from two different countries, an informal environment where various cultures talk about common interests, or anything else)

What are people's experiences with intercultural online learning? What are the dynamics that make it a rich learning experience? Or, what are the factors that constrain it?
