Hello,, everybody.

I'm interested in Open Source software at School, specially in Debian/Ubuntu.

For example. We've got a very good free educational tool: GCompris.

And here's a wonderful one to make animations and games we can easily share: Scratch
And this is the scratch-1.3.1_0.9-4_i386.deb link (an older one):

Well,... We can also download it for Windows / Mac, but...

What other Ubuntu/Debian tools and Open Source programs do we use at Elementary School?

Help me, please. I'm looking for them. Thanks. Scratch ideastag:www.classroom20.com,2008-06-19:649749:Topic:1518242008-06-19T13:02:08.277ZAndrew Robitaillehttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/aussieandrew

Do you have any creative lesson ideas that incorporate Scratch programming? I am open to any topics, as I teach the students in a specialist instructional technology lesson. I am particularly interested in success stories from those of you who used Scratch with similarly-aged students. I'd love to see links to your projects. Thanks for your advice. Scratch@MIT Conference - Will you be there?tag:www.classroom20.com,2008-04-20:649749:Topic:1329762008-04-20T18:37:58.176ZJoNellehttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/JoNelleG
Is anyone going to the Scratch@MIT Conference July 24-26? Teachers who used Scratch in our classrooms were invited to submit a proposal to their first conference, and my cohorts and I will present. This will be great opportunity to meet CR2.0 educators and share so we can all boost our students' experiences next year.
If you cannot make it and would like to add your link to my presentation wiki resources…
