Dear Colleagues,

I'm currently working on my dissertation in Learning, Design, and Technology that focuses on teachers using online spaces. I'm investigating how and why they use them. As a teacher myself, I know why I participate and interact with online networks like this, but I'm curious as to why the rest of you do.

After conducting a survey asking the questions listed above, I found that Southerners were nearly exclusively responsible for pronouncing the "ch" in Appalachian like the "ch" in "cheerio." I also found that Southerners were the least likely to pick one of the more adventurous country options, such as Grenada or Singapore. Finally, those from the great plains and those from the South had visited the least number of countries on average.
