I'm a grad student doing a project on technology in the classroom- specifically, why a teacher might be reluctant to use it in their classroom, and encouraging non-"tech savvy" teachers to use it through revealing some good tools that can be used by beginners. However, I'm still working on finding good sources. Any suggestions on sources or easy tools I could discuss?

Right now, my students are working on a how-to video project. We created a list of things we know how to do using WorkFlowy. We are using Creately as a graphic organizer to help plan our writing. Students wrote, revised, and edited the script for their videos on Google Drive. Finally, students created their videos on VoiceThread. We also watched other projects and left text/audio comments.

Hi,

I started a tech club at my school (a middle school) this year, designed to be a way for students to learn about various technology tools and use them more in the classroom. My initial thoughts were to teach a little bit about everything graphic design, websites, blogging, podcasting, programming, video, and the various tools in Microsoft Office. However, most of the students involved want to learn about programming and creating video games. I have no problem with this, other than I don't any experience with this, so I am looking for programs to use with a group of 11-12 year olds.

I have heard of Logo and Scratch and have only worked a small bit with the first one. So any resources/tutorials you can lead me to would be awesome, as well.

Thanks so much!
