I'm playing around with the idea of using some interactive maps and data<br />
for part of a Social Studies unit, there are lots of great current<br />
event maps and data out there at places like <a href="http://www.mint.com">http://www.mint.com</a> (who just came out with a great interactive map of unemployment in the US) and even the<br />
Huffington post does some data visualization stuff. I was just wondering<br />
if anybody else had done something like this with technology, how it went and if you have any…

<p>With recent technology innovations, data visualization seems like it's exploded. It seems that, if our schools are to remain relevent, we should be integrating data visualization into our math classes.</p>

<p>Has anyone found good software for this task? I've looked into <a href="http://www.ggobi.org/">ggobi</a>, but I haven't played with it extensively yet. Has anyone had any luck with it or other data visualization tools?</p>
