Occasionally, for reasons that feel utterly inexplicable, we are unable to attain our dream jobs. Try as we might, we cannot gain approval for an interview or pass the final tests that lead to an offer. For newly qualified teachers, this may be a first opportunity to teach in the classroom. For more experienced teachers, this could be a long-awaited promotion or a move into an international teaching environment.
