In the past I have been a part of several postcard exchanges and my students loved receiving the cards and information about each state. This year I wanted to try something new. I created a type of state information exchange using VoiceThread. VoiceThread is a free program at www.voicethread.com. It is a way to have conversations around media. This is a very cool Web 2.0 tool to use in your classroom for any content area. Please visit the site and in the browse section enter 50 States Share and my VoiceThread will come up. Or the link is:
http://voicethread.com/#q+50+States+.b155765.i832841
I plan to have my students complete our state, Missouri, sometime in September but this can be done when ever your schedule allows. There are really no limits for this project so have fun with it! Please share this with any grade level, and/or government official, or anybody you see who could comment about their state as a way for our students to learn more about our great country. If you have any questions or comments my email is jalbers@lindberghschools.ws. Enjoy!

This sounds like fun. I will share it with my class and my hope is that we can participate when we start our unit on TN. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for your interest! Spread the word please!
I teach a special education class and we are working on geography this semester, I would be very interested in getting two or three of my students involved. At the least we will definitely view the entries from your class and others. We may be able to put together a package from Indiana for your site.
Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks so much! Spread the word!
I am going to have my 4th grade class do this but we have to cover a few things first so it will be later in the year. We're in California.
Anytime is good! Thanks so much! Spread the word!
