If you want to talk to someone over there = let me know.

There is a great website. Something like teachthemovies.com (not exactly the url?) It does have a small fee, but it contains lesson plans. Good luck!

Hassie - you're welcome to add any additional sites around media literacy to the listings on TeacherRated - go to http://www.teacherrated.com/language-arts/media-literacy/ and click on "Contribute a Resource", fill in the form and it is there for all to use in the future.
Hi Hassie,

Perhaps you could have a look at the Center of Media Literacy (CMF) website:
http://www.medialit.org/

It could certainly help if you could gather resources and put them in a shared environment so that anybody can profit from your work and can contribute...

Keep up the good work!
Hi Hassie,

Here are a list of some of the websites I know about that support teaching media literacy. The list gives a brief description, the grade and indicates whether or not supporting teacher materials are available (PRO). The Media Awareness site has an extensive searchable bank of lessons and some online games that I have found quite useful. As well, one of the most effective things I have done with my students with…

As well, one of the most effective things I have done with my students with technology and media literacy is to have them use some of the techniques advertisers use and create their own media works - commercials using Moviemaker and Photostory and radio commercials with Audacity.
