Hi guys,

Since we're all enthusiastic about the use of web 2.0 concepts in education, I thought you'd be interested to know about the launch of a new company called EDU 2.0.

It's a labor of love for me and provides free, web-hosted support for teaching, learning, resources and community. If you're interested in learning more, visit http://www.edu20.org and click on "take tour".

Cheers,
Graham Glass

Hi Graham,

Interesting work. I'll follow its development, sounds cools!

Greetings,
Emil
Thanks Graham - I have some colleagues that may find your offer appealing.
I am off to check it out now.
I discovered Edu20 a while before it came out of beta, of course, as with all other applications, alongside the pure interest and enjoyment of playing with new toys, my aim was to see if I would be able to use it with my students in Israel and reccommend it to my colleagues here. The broad spectrum of possibilites on Edu20, which I would definitely enjoy in other circumstances, means that the site would be too diffcult for many teachers and most students in Israel to use. However, the site has a lot to offer, apart from being an online teaching space where a teacher can hold classes, courses, discussions, and implement such tools as a quiz maker and wiki for every class, there is a wealth of resources. Furthermore, Edu20 is also a Personal Learning Environment where the lone student can create his own learning agenda, study topics that interest him and interact with others interested in those topics. Definitely worth taking a look!
Hi Susan,

Thanks for your comment! Out of interest, why do you think it would be too difficult to use? Because it doesn't currently have a native Hebrew interface? Or some other reason?

Cheers,
Graham
Yes, you hit the nail on the head
Ah, OK, thanks for the feedback!
We're going to start work on internationalizing edu 2.0 next week ;-)
